Jeffrey Hirst

Jeffrey Hirst is an American printmaker who earned an MFA from Louisiana State University in 1990. He has worked as an artist since then and is represented by galleries in Chicago and Columbus, Ohio. He owns Hirst Printmaking in Chicago, a printshop focused on experimental printmaking. Hirst has taught encaustic and printmaking workshops at universities across the United States. He has received grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board and the City of Chicago. Ballinglen Arts Foundation lists him as a resident fellow and workshop teacher in County Mayo, Ireland.
