JENNY MCILHATTON

Jenny McIlhatton is a Belfast-born interdisciplinary artist who works mainly with textiles, found materials and sculptural installation. Her practice repurposes fashion waste and draws on mythology of the divine female. She took part in the PADA residency in Portugal in 2023. Her installations invite viewers to touch and complete the work through stitching, knotting and weaving. Her work has been shown in London and in the Philippines, where she collaborated with Indigenous Kalandang weavers. Her other recognition includes a judges' choice award at the World Festival of Quilts in 2022 and longlisting for the Aesthetica Magazine Art Prize in 2025.
