Joanna Thomas

Joanna Thomas is a poet and visual artist living in Ellensburg, Washington. Her collages, erasures, and artist books have been shown in galleries and museums across the United States and in China. Her chapbook blue-bird (bloo•burd), published by Milk & Cake Press in 2021, is a lipogram in which every poem avoids the letter B. Her other chapbook, [ache] [blur] [cut]: sonnets, came out from Open Country Press in 2023 and won the Open Country Chapbook Prize. She co-founded Inland Poetry and was a founding board member of PUNCH Gallery in Seattle.
