Joel Zapata

Joel Zapata is an assistant professor of history in the School of History, Philosophy & Religion at Oregon State University in Corvallis. His research covers the U.S.-Mexico borderlands, the Spanish borderlands, and the Southern Great Plains, with interests in migration, labor, and colonialism. He received his PhD and MA in history from Southern Methodist University and his BA from the University of Texas at El Paso.
