Jose Figueroa

José Joaquín Figueroa is an Oakland-based artist born in Caracas in 1986 who works across drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and video. He is known for on-site observational drawings and for documenting queer spaces such as clothing-optional beaches and community gatherings. He was a resident of the Fire Island Artist Residency in 2018, and his work was exhibited in the 2019 BGSQD show Greetings from Cherry Grove.
