Joseph Mougel

Joseph Mougel is a photographer, video and installation artist who teaches at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he is a professor and co-chairs the Department of Art & Design. He earned a BFA from the University of Georgia and an MFA from the University of New Mexico. His site-responsive work, often made during artist residencies, examines ecological change and the military-industrial complex through found materials and darkroom processes. He was a 2017 artist-in-residence at the Montello Foundation and has also worked at Art Farm in Nebraska.
