Julia Gaskill

Julia Gaskill is a Portland, Oregon poet and organizer who came up through the local slam scene. Her work deals with womanhood, grief over a parent's death, mental health, queerness, and pop culture. She has competed on national and regional slam stages. Her debut poetry collection, weirdo, came out from Game Over Books in 2022. She has also published chapbooks and a spoken word album, and her poems have appeared in journals such as FreezeRay Poetry, Pile Press, and Vagabond City Lit. She is credited with four chapbooks, and her spoken word album is called Stouthearted Bitch.
