Julie Anand

Julie Anand is an American artist and educator who works mainly in photography and collaborative image-making, often with longtime partner Damon Sauer. Her projects draw on a background in ecology and geology and explore material culture, body-land relations, and interdependency. She is based in Phoenix, Arizona, and teaches in the School of Art at Arizona State University. She served as an Artist in Residence for Grand Canyon Conservancy in summer 2023, where she ran River Print workshops with visitors and park biologists. Her River I-IV cloth cyanotype prints, made with visitors, express wishes for the health of the Colorado River's native fish.
