Kate Brandt

Kate Brandt is a writer whose work includes essays, travel writing, short fiction, and novels. Her debut novel, Hope for the Worst, was published by Vine Leaves Press in March 2023. The novel follows Ellie, a young woman drawn into a relationship with a older Buddhist teacher, and its journey to Tibet. Brandt has said she wrote it from her own experiences of Tibetan Buddhism and travel there, and of living with depression.
