Katie Ford

Katie Ford is a poet whose third full-length collection, Blood Lyrics, was published by Graywolf Press in 2014. Her earlier books include Deposition and Colosseum. Colosseum sets a New Orleans evacuation during Hurricane Katrina against ancient Rome. A 32 Poems review by Colleen Abel praises her work for balancing the interior and exterior, and the personal and historical. The review says Blood Lyrics links a premature birth to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
