Kim CLARKE

Kim Clarke is a US-based ceramic artist who makes whimsical figurative sculptures in high-fire clay, glazed in bright colors. Her artist statement says she builds figures from stories in her mind and cites Frida Kahlo, Tim Burton and Beatrice Woods as influences. She also works as a ceramics teacher. She was an artist in residence at A.I.R. Vallauris in Vallauris, France, in summer 2013, and her work was shown in the 2016 Figuratif exhibit of alumni there.
