Kristen Martincic

Kristen Martincic is a fiber and textile artist based in Columbia, Missouri. Her work examines the body and water, using bathing suits and water-related settings to explore privacy, intimacy, and exposure. She was a former artist in residence at LUX Center for the Arts in Lincoln, Nebraska, and was included in the center's A.I.R. exhibition in 2022. She has also held residencies at Jentel and several other arts centers. Her work is held in public collections including the Sheldon Museum of Art and Fidelity Investments, and she was a 2022 Hopper Prize finalist. She holds a BFA from Bowling Green State University and an MFA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
