Laura Valencia Lozada

Laura Valencia Lozada was a 2023 resident in the Lagos artist-in-residence program, connected to its Berlin location. Her proposed project, MEXICO CODEX – Tale of the Conquest, is a codex about Tlatelolca women in the 1521 fall of Tlatelolco. The work is based on research into a manuscript known as the "Relato de la Conquista" and proposes a gender-focused reading of it.
