Lindsey Friman

Lindsey Friman is a collage artist and designer living and working in Alameda, California, who was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. She earned degrees in Fine Art and Art History from Gettysburg College and an MFA in Interior Architecture and Design from NESAD/Suffolk University. Her practice includes portraiture commissions, zine work, and exhibitions in East Bay cafés and art spaces. Friman is linked to Kolaj Institute as a 2027 solo resident in New Orleans, where she plans to study collage as a tool for processing trauma and memory. She previously took part in a 2023 Kolaj Institute residency in Sanquhar, Scotland.
