Lisa Ijeoma
Lisa Ijeoma is an artist with Nigerian roots, listed as born in 1997 in Belgium. Her work is hand-sewn patchwork and textile, shaped by her intersectional identity. She began with a master's in fine arts painting, then took a second master's in textile design. Her textile work often addresses fear, trauma, police violence, and the representation of Black women. Her more recent research uses handwoven Jacquard to examine gendered labour and racial prejudice. Fundaziun Nairs in Scuol, Switzerland, lists her as a resident artist.
