LJ Roberts

LJ Roberts is an artist and writer known for large-scale textile installations, embroideries, artist books, and collages that address queer and trans histories. Based in Brooklyn, they were born in 1980 in Royal Oak, Michigan. Their 2021 Pioneer Works exhibition, Carry You With Me, comprised 26 hand-stitched portraits of friends and collaborators in New York's queer and trans communities, and it was accompanied by a companion book published by Pioneer Works.
