Lori Kent

Lori Kent is an American artist who was an artist in residence at DRAWinternational in Caylus, France, in 2023. Her residency feature describes drawings made during summer travels, with attention to landscape, green plant life, and the interstitial spaces of urban life. She has said she favors drawing as expression and as a means of understanding, and she planned to extend her work into series of large-scale drawings. Her residency pages describe interest in traces, impermanence, and the use of fire and ice as drawing materials.
