Lucy Crouch

Lucy Crouch is a UK-based artist who was in residence at DRAWinternational in Caylus, France, in 2023. Her practice centres on drawing, which she approaches as a trace or gesture left when materials touch. Her research examines New Materialism and how drawing relates to non-human processes in nature. She works with traditional drawing materials such as chalk, graphite, ink and charcoal, and she treats drawing as a collaboration with the material itself. The pages describe her as taking part in the June 2023 open studios alongside other residents.
