Lumi Mannermaa

Lumi Mannermaa is a Finnish sonic performer who works with Maija Suominen in the duo uRge. The duo combines electronic music, analogue synthesis, acoustic instruments and voice in performances that address feminist concerns and masculine conventions in electronic music. Mannermaa was a resident at Titanik A.i.R. in Turku in June 2024. The residency ended with the performance 27.6, which the duo described as a mix of caricature, badminton and synthesized sound. According to the duo's own description, Mannermaa studies music technology and both members grew up with classical music.
