Madeleine Fia Matsson

Madeleine Fia Matsson is a Swedish-American plein-air painter who has exhibited in the U.S., Canada, Sweden, Austria, and Mexico. She received her MFA from the New York Studio School. In 2021 she was a visual arts resident with the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council's Governors Island program. Her chashama exhibition page places her in Brooklyn, where she moved in 2022 and paints mainly in Green-Wood Cemetery. Her own site, however, says she had returned to Sweden after 13 years in New York.
