María Elena Ortiz

María Elena Ortiz is a Miami-based Puerto Rican curator. In 2014 she received the Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros Travel Award for Central America and the Caribbean. That year she was a researcher in residence at Alice Yard in Trinidad and Tobago. Her previous posts include work at the Sala de Arte Público Siqueiros in Mexico City and the Pérez Art Museum Miami.
