Maria Velasco

Maria Velasco is a Spanish-born artist who has lived and worked in the United States since 1991. Her interdisciplinary practice includes site-specific installations, urban interventions, sculptural objects, and public art commissions. She was an artist in residence at Green Olive Arts in Tetouan, Morocco, in 2017. Her work addresses displacement, migration, gender identity, and vulnerability.
