Marieke van Rooy

Marieke van Rooy is an artist who was a resident at BRUNAKRA in 2025. Her project during the stay is called The Maize Human Saves the Nature. The work is an artistic inquiry into the climate crisis, using an alter ego and figurative landscape painting. The project is planned as a long-term effort, with the residency as its starting point.
