Marissa Sher

Marissa Sher is a multimedia and surrealist artist and writer based in Brooklyn. She hand-builds sculptures and still lifes, animates them with animatronics, and films them for video work. Her Exquisite Corpse series was made during a residency at Art Farm in Nebraska. She previously worked for more than a decade as a set and production designer in film, including seven seasons leading the graphics team for the film unit at Saturday Night Live. Her essays on digital art and the female body have appeared in The Independent and Painters on Paintings.
