Martin Schick

Martin Schick is a Swiss-based performing artist, cultural manager and activist, working between art and social projects. In 2017 he was an artist in residence at Rabbit Island on Lake Superior, Michigan, alongside Mirko Winkel. There he began NATURE POLITICS, a long-term study of nature rights that argues for leaving nature alone and letting nature assign rights. His CV lists work as a cultural manager at the bluefactory district in Fribourg and at the Kalkbreite cooperative in Zurich, and as co-director of the BONE Performance Festival in Bern. He received the 2019 Liechti Prize for performing arts.
