Mary Claire Becker

Mary Claire Becker is a visual artist who works in printmaking, sculpture, and video animation. Her work examines how industrialized cultures, especially in the United States, romanticize landscape as something 'other,' rearranging human-made depictions of nature. She holds a BFA from UNC Asheville and an MA, MFA, and book arts certificate from the University of Iowa. She was a resident at Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts in spring 2020.
