Matt Manalo

Matt Manalo is an artist and community organizer based in Houston, born in Manila, Philippines. His work addresses colonialism and the shifting meaning of home, often using organic and reclaimed materials. He runs the Alief Art House, a shipping-container space in a Houston community garden. He was an Artist-in-Residence with Fernland Studios in its 2023 cohort.
