Matthew Wood

Matthew "Woody" Wood is a Dallas-based visual artist and a resident artist at The Cedars Union in downtown Dallas. He trained in painting at the Kansas City Art Institute and did graduate work at NYU, where he interned at the Acconci Studio. He makes hybrid painting/sculpture works he calls Biomorphagrams, built from vintage Chroma Rama paper and dead stock paint swatches, along with reworked photographs of New York pedestrians' shadows. He has said he hopes to find gallery representation.
