Maya Dixon

Maya Dixon is a New York-based multidisciplinary artist who works across sculpture, video, drawing, performance, and installation. Her practice reinterprets cultural symbols to examine Black female autonomy, memory, and resilience. She earned a BFA from The Cooper Union in 2022 and an MFA from Columbia University in 2025. Dixon was a 2025-2026 Studio Artist at Smack Mellon and a 2026 AIM Fellow at The Bronx Museum.
