Mei Xian Qiu

Mei Xian Qiu was an artist in residence at Last Ship in Khajuraho, India, from November 2024 to January 2025. Their work there, The Selfie Project, centers on selfies taken in front of the Khajuraho temples. The project asks how selfie culture reflects colonial and postcolonial power dynamics, and it explores the brief connections such exchanges can create.
