Meko Cheng

Meko Cheng is a Hong Kong artist whose work deals with material, weight and physical manifestation. Her structured, balanced installations explore tension and contrast between materials, often in a state between stillness and flow. She completed a bachelor's degree in fine art (sculpture) at RMIT University in 2019. Her work was shown in 1a space's 2019 graduate show Kit of Landscape. Cheng was one of six artists-in-residence at 1a space in 2021. In 2022 she showed the installation-based exhibition mirare with Jessica Fu at Cattle Depot, a project that ended the Fill in the Space series.
