Melanie Westerberg

Melanie Westerberg is a Texas-based fiction writer originally from Iowa. She is the author of the novella City in the River, City in the Forest and the chapbook Ripple, and has been working on a novel. Her short stories have appeared in journals including Mid-American Review, Third Coast, Torpedo, and the Austin Chronicle. She holds an MFA in Writing from California College of the Arts. Westerberg works as a legal editor in Austin and has held residencies at several arts centers, including Madroño Ranch and the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts.
