Mia Chaplin

Mia Chaplin is a South African painter born in 1990 who works in oil on canvas and paper, known for expressive, heavily textured surfaces. She completed a BFA at the Michaelis School of Fine Art in Cape Town in 2011. She has held six solo exhibitions, including two in Amsterdam, and has taken up residencies at Nirox Foundation in South Africa, Obras art in Portugal, and Cité internationale des arts in Paris.
