Michael Betancourt

Michael Betancourt is a Cuban-American artist best known for digital video and Glitch Art, a practice he has pursued since 1990. He also writes about art and automation. His typoems, a form of visual poetry built from collaged typographic fragments, have appeared in several presses and magazines. His book Glitching the 'Machine Artist' is a paperback published by I'm Press'd, which describes itself as an experiment in non-blind peer review in scholarly publishing. The Post-Asemic Press connection comes from the typoem books noted on The Metaworker page.
