Miguel Hernandez

Miguel Hernández was a Spanish poet whose work is described as a classic of 20th-century Spanish poetry, often compared to Lorca and Pablo Neruda. The pages say most of the poems in The Prison Poems were written while he was imprisoned after the defeat of Republican Spain. Parlor Press published the English edition, The Prison Poems, in 2008, translated and edited by Michael Smith.
