Mike Aleman

Mike Aleman is a long-retired English teacher who writes short stories, poetry, and western novels. He grew up in a Chicago Mexican-American bilingual family and moved to Powder River, Wyoming, at fifteen in 1957. His short stories focus on the urban American experience, and his work has been read on Spokane Public Radio. He has written two western novels, one contemporary and one historical, and appeared in Bicoastal Review Issue 5. Aleman's novel Powder River, 1957 was scheduled for release in May 2024 by Austin Macauley Publishers.
