Mikyung OH

Mikyung Oh (오미경, also 吳美京) is a Korean artist who trained in Eastern painting and makes embroidery paintings that blend traditional East Asian needlework with painting. Her work is often described as feminist, using motifs such as red high heels, flowers, birds and the female body. She has held solo shows in Seoul and Gangneung, and her work was included in a 2015 group show drawn from the A.I.R. Vallauris collection in France.
