Mirko Winkel

Mirko Winkel is a visual artist, described as coming from East Germany, who works in performance and public space. He collaborates with Swiss dance and performance artist Martin Schick. In 2017 he was an artist-in-residence at Rabbit Island on Lake Superior, Michigan, where the two began the NATURE POLITICS project. The project argues for leaving parts of nature alone and has been performed at festivals in Europe and elsewhere.
