Nathan Sherwood Liang

Nathan Sherwood Liang is a San Francisco-based composer and sound artist who builds music from field recordings, ecological data, and orchestral instruments. He was named Spring 2026 Artist-in-Residence at White Buffalo Land Trust's Jalama Canyon Ranch, living and working on the land from April 15 to May 26, 2026. His residency ended with a live outdoor concert on May 23, 2026. His recent works include Those Who Favor Fire (2025), Green, green (2025), and Species for Harp and Piano (2024).
