Nicolás Cespedes

Nicolas Cespedes is a Peruvian artist who works through intuitive, process-driven action painting, collage, found objects, and photography. He was an artist-in-residence with MOMENTUM in Berlin in 2024. During that stay he developed a project called 'Retracing', which invited adults to recall what made them happy as children. His own site describes him as based in Lima and frames his practice around instinct, material, and playful reconnection with a sense of freedom. His recent solo shows include 'Recreo' in São Paulo (2025) and 'Huellas del Juego' in Lima.
