Nina Akbar

Nina Akbar, MD, is a board-certified infectious diseases physician. She completed her clinical subspecialty training at the University of Rochester Medical Center in 2019. She was a fellow in the Portland VA's health services research program in 2019–2020. Her research focuses on multidrug-resistant organisms in healthcare-associated infections, infection prevention, and antimicrobial stewardship. She aims to become a health services researcher working on specialty care delivery for Veterans.
