Pathos Trio

Pathos Trio is a percussion-and-piano ensemble that blends contemporary classical music with dark, heavy, dense sounds drawn from rock, metal, and electronic music. The group focuses on commissioning works from young, living composers. They have won the 2023 American Prize for virtual chamber performance and received multiple grants from Chamber Music America and other funders. Their 2019 residency at Avaloch Farm Music Institute produced a new work by composer Finola Merivale.
