Percy Nii Nortey

Percy Nii Nortey is a multidisciplinary artist based in Kumasi, Ghana, whose practice works with materials, labour, identity and memory. He collaborates with workers in Ghana, such as car mechanics, charcoal sellers and market women, and uses fabric they have stained with their daily work. He was one of five artists selected for the Dekoloniale Berlin Residency in 2024, where his fabric panels reinterpreted stained glass windows at the Museum Nikolaikirche.
