Raed Ibrahim

Raed Ibrahim is a Jordanian artist, born in 1971 in Saudi Arabia, who lives and works in Amman. His practice is socially and politically engaged and often uses irony to address taboo subjects. He teaches Fine Arts at the University of Jordan. He has worked with Darat al Funun since the early 2000s, first as a participant in its Summer Academy and later in a 2009 residency exchange with ProHelvetia in Switzerland. His 2020 exhibition A Camel in the Room was staged at the Blue House, and in 2023 he curated the group show Travelling Archives/ Tracing Narratives at The Lab.
