Rashel van der Schaaf

Rashel van der Schaaf is a filmmaker and poet who is a current resident at bEam arts in Thessaloniki, Greece. Their work combines sound, image, words, and projection across documentary, fiction, dance film, video art, and video mapping. A recurring interest is how people relate to the world, to one another, and to themselves, with a particular focus on water, rivers, and the sea. They often write from non-human perspectives, giving voice to beings usually absent from public conversation.
