Rita Gale Cruise

Rita Gale Cruise is an artist who grew up in the Southwest Virginia mountains. She lives on a restored farm, workshop and studio dating to around 1830. Her work repurposes reclaimed and natural materials, drawing on Appalachian woodlands. She was a resident at Domaine de Boisbuchet in the 2022 season, where she made an installation using forest materials and natural dyes.
