Rodan Kane Hart

South African artist born in 1988, based in Cape Town, who works in sculpture, drawing and photography. His 'Western Death Mask(s)' series uses mirror-polished steel casts of classical Roman busts bought in Shanghai to examine colonial and European influence. He was an artist-in-residence at the Swatch Art Peace Hotel in Shanghai in 2016 and 2017, and the work from that stay was shown at the 2017 Venice Biennale.
