Ruanne Abou Rahme

Ruanne Abou-Rahme is an artist who works with Basel Abbas, combining sound, image, text, installation and performance. Their practice examines performativity, political imaginaries, the body and virtuality. They were awarded the Sharjah Biennial Prize in 2015. Darat al Funun's 2018 Second Exhibition of its 30th Anniversary Celebration presented the duo's five-screen video installation 'And yet my mask is powerful'. The Darat al Funun pages do not spell out a residency with the same dates as the Missa listing, so the 2018 link is to an exhibition.
