Sachiko Akiyama

Sachiko Akiyama is an artist and educator based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, who makes wood sculptures combining human and animal forms. Her work draws on the natural world, art history, literature, and her Japanese American heritage. She received a 2022 Surf Point Foundation Fellowship, which is the link to Missa's listing.
