Sanna Maria Paananen

Sanna Maria Paananen is a painter who is a 2026 resident at the Serlachius Residency in Finland. Her paintings focus on the atmosphere of landscapes, the layers of time in a place, and shimmering light. She works with traditional Japanese techniques and mineral pigments. She is also a member of the seven-artist MOKA Group, which explores everyday mistakes in its exhibitions.
